Dr. Aparna Govil Bhasker is a bariatrc surgeon in Mumbai and is associated with multiple hospitals like Global hospital, Apollo Hospital, Saifee hospital, Currae and Suchak Hospital.

She is one of the first Indian surgeons to be accredited by the SRC for the Center for excellence accreditation in 2011. She is the chairperson of IFSO APC Position statement and clinical research committee alongwith Dr. W. J. Lee and is also a member of the IFSO communication committee.

She has many clinical publications to her credit and has also co-authored a silver book on sleeve gastrectomy. She has also contributed chapters to many books on bariatric surgery. She is invited as faculty and speaker in national and international conferences.

She has been a member of OSSI for over a decade and she believes that bariatric surgery has come of age in India and it is time to serve OSSI and help in taking it to newer heights.
